Rissho Kosei-kai is a lay Buddhist organisation composed of ordinary men and women who strive to enrich their spirituality by applying the Buddha's teachings to their daily lives. The organisation was founded by the late Nikkyo Niwano and Myoko Naganuma in 1938, guided by the teachings of the Lotus Sutra in which the inner most spirit of Shakyamuni Buddha is incorporated.
Rissho Kosei-kai of the UK was established in 1995 and registered as a charity in 1998 (Registered Charity No. 1072329).
We are a small congregation who have monthly members meetings and Dharma service in the London and Cardiff areas. We have been involved in various interfaith activities in the UK, including Week of Prayer for World Peace and Religions for Peace (UK).
